Our Beliefs
The Godhead
There is one God, the Creator, infinitely perfect and holy, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; all equally God, of one essence, yet separate in personality. God is Love and demonstrated this love to us through offering His Son Jesus Christ as the sacrifice for our sins.
The Person of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, the Son, eternally co-equal with the Father, became a man for our salvation, without ceasing to be God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, virgin born, lived a sinless life, shed His blood and died as an atonement for our sins, was bodily raised from the dead, and sits at the right hand of God, making intercession for believers. We believe in His personal return for the church, and in His visible return to establish His millennial kingdom on earth.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He indwells, baptizes, and seals each believer at conversion. He is the means of knowing and applying the word of God and the will of God in our daily lives. He imparts to us spiritual gifts so that we might build up the church body!
The Bible
All sixty-six books of the Holy Bible are the inspired Word of God, absolutely authoritative and inerrant in the original autographs. The gospel message is the centerpiece of God;s revelation to us. His word is completely sufficient for the believer’s rule of faith and practice.
Creation and the Fall of Man
God created the heaven’s and the earth. He created Adam and Eve in His image. They sinned and thereby incurred both physical & spiritual death that spread to all men and creation. We are all sinners by nature and choice, unwilling and incapable of receiving the things of the Spirit of God apart from His regenerating grace. Because of sin all are separated from God and destined for destruction apart from the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Salvation and the Security of the Believer
Salvation is provided when an individual responds in faith to the divine provision of Jesus substitutionary death and resurrection. This is not something we deserve. It is offered as a gift through God’s grace. This gift of salvation and eternal life is offered to all men yet is only applied to God;s chosen ones. Upon salvation the believer is regenerated by the Spirit of God (born again), justified before God, united with Christ and adopted into the family of God. The redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever.
The Believers New Walk of Life
It is God’s will that each believer walk in the Spirit, doing His will, living a life that glorifies God, and joining in fellowship with believers of like faith and practice. It is God’s will that we live Holy “Set Apart” by His divine power & carry out His great commission to go into all the world spreading the gospel!
The Local Church
The local church is an assembly of born again, baptized believers who are subject to the Word of God and united in organization to practice the New Testament ordinances of the Lord’s Table (communion) and baptism (by immersion). The church meets together for worship, prayer, fellowship, and teaching. The church exists to serve and sharpen one another, to spread the gospel, and to most importantly bring glory to God!
Resurrection and Eternal Destiny
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus bringing about the resurrection of both the saved & the lost; they that are saved to eternal life, and they that are lost to eternal damnation, along with our adversary Satan. We believe in the victorious reign and rule of Christ; when every knew will bow and every tongue will confess He is Lord. We are looking forward to a New Heaven and Earth where there will no longer be pain, sorrow, or remnants of the curse.
